I didn't tell you your paint was vinyl, I asked you. I told you I read an article that explained how they did the everquest case that was a vinyl aplique under clearcoat.

As for my Alienware comments, if you disagree, you disagree. God forgive me that I come to an Alienware forum and post a positive statement about Alienware. What was I thinking.

And you're wrong that I haven't said anything positive about FN or Voodoo, the only negative things I've posted are about their pricing, and my personal experiences on the phone with FN, and on Voodoo's forums. I've said repeatedly they make quality machines, but I don't have any interest in paying upwards of $700+ for a paint job. Sorry that gets your panties in a bunch.

Why are you trying to start a flame war? You've been treated well here by everyone, so I can only gather that your comment comparing this forum to Voodoo's bash fest is because I said I don't care for the paint job you chose. I guess if we don't all fall in line and worship every aspect of your computer, the sky is falling?

I'd suggest you get over it. I'm sure your computer is the most amazing thing that's ever graced the face of the earth, it's certainly got more advanced hardware than my Alienwares. And even though I'm sure the paint application is excellent, I still don't like the subject.

Will maybe I should have left sleeping dogs lay, but when you say that every other computer company is following Alienware’s lead that is just not true. That’s why I posted these postings.

I would like to also say that you never did say low life, I was just implying the way you make others uncomfortable when saying anything ageist. Alienware.

No you don’t have to fall in line and like my computer. I could give two sh**’s what you like or don’t. I just feel that you don’t give any respect to others on this forum with different opinions when it comes to computers other then Alienware.

Personally, I think SLI is better than Alienwares technology due to the simple fact that the Alienware will be using up 5 of the 6 or 7 slots for video. Sli will only use 3 or 4 slots depending on the video card.

It certainly doesn't sound like you don't give two sh*t's about my opinion, you're losing your composure because I don't like the paint scheme. I complimented your hardware, and said your benchmarks were outstanding did I not?

What is it you want from me? If I'd wanted a falcon, I'd have bought one.

You blew a gasket because you didn't like the delay caused by Alienware allowing you to change an order, you bought another computer from another company, and everyone here including me told you to stick around and tell us about your machine. Everyone here gushed about your box. I said you had excellent hardware, and outrageous benchmarks, that's what is important to me, but I don't care for your flashy paint. I even bought my AW in black because their other colors were too flashy for me. It's personal preference, nothing more.

The simple fact is that Alienware developed their own dual video card PCI-E solution before even Nvidia incorporated it into their GPU's, let alone Falcon and Voodoo announced they would offer Nvidia's SLI. Now Voodoo and Falcon will offer SLI... of course they will. They have to because Alienware has developed their own, and SLI is available, and if they didn't they couldn't say they offer state of the art gaming rigs. Alienware is going to offer Nvidia's SLI too, but if you want dual x800XT's, your only solution as of now is AW. Alienware developed their own solution before even Nvidia did, so I think they deserve credit for trying. Whether you like it or not, it's good for gaming and the PC industry to have people trying to innovate in other than aesthetic concerns. We all win when the market is pushed.

Now about your saying other companies don't follow Alienware, who was it that first offered colored cases? Why is it other companies like hypersonic and others offer the same color range that AW does? Why is it suppliers of cases in Taiwan paint their cases in the same colors now? Just look at the ads in PC Gamer. Everyone is copying AW's case and colors. Who is it that first offered upgradable mobile graphics? Who is it that first brought an announcement and a working prototype for a dual PCI-E video card array to market, one that will work with any card on the market, not just Nvidia?

Alienware is a much larger company than Voodoo and FN, so they can apparently afford to do these things, and they're looking ahead. Voodoo and FN offer different things than AW, mainly case and case treatments at a premium price, if that's what you're into, good for you. Get one! These other companies can't afford to bring unique products to market as of yet, so they have to offer what is available with the exception of Voodoo offering liquid cooling before anyone else. When they came out with this, I gave them kudos on their forums and got bashed for it.

I'm not into case paint, and I like AW's case, is that any reason for you to get pissed? Would you rather I lie to you?

I've dealt with Alienware for years, and I've bought several machines from them and they've all been exceptional as has my experience.

For me, Alienware offers the same combination of hardware as these other companies in a unique chassis at a lower price, and their support has been excellent.

Why wouldn't I come off as a fan of the company?

Simple fact is all these companies just assemble computers. They all offer similar if not the same hardware. The differences are mainly cases and cost.

I don't think I attack anyone that favors one brand over another, you may disagree. What chaps my butt is the guys like the self builder in another thread that insists anyone that buys an AW is an idiot because you can build your own for half the cost and end up with a better computer. That's just stupid.

And I'm also not shy about laying into someone like a guy that invaded Alienware's forums announcing that he was getting a Voodoo and everyone at Alienware has a second rate budget computer.

Fine, you may not want to here this but Alienware is not the company it once was, I now that for a fact; I now people working at Alienware in FL. I won't name names as this is an open forum. But I can tell you they are not liking whats going on in FL.

Alienware makes some fine computers thats why I was buying one in the first place. I thought that I was buying from a company that wanted me to be happy. I was until I was lied to for way to many times. I was missed lead also. Im just providing info, not argumenting! There is always something bigger and better, and there is NO way to win this battle in my view, especially when both technologies ARENT EVEN OUT YET.
