Still looking for low budget laptop with all the features...
This one has the AMD® Athlon 64 3000+, 15" SXGA+, 60GB, 512MB, DVD-Dual, ATI9600 64MB, Gigabit+Wlan 802.11g, and comparing the prices with those in europe for this notebook it should be around the $1000 mark. I'm not sure why Acer don't have the 1500 and 1510 line in the US market since it seams to me this type of notebook is already very populare and is selling well in the US, just look at the emachines 68xx series and mitac 8355. Only thing I would like to ad is a bluetooth card. Sure the Ferrari 3200 is nice but it's almost twice as much and I'm not so sure about the radeon 9700 and A64 cramped up in that little space in the long run. I just need a budget desktop replacement with ok multimedia capabillities, nothing fancy, lightweght or long battery life is requred.
Is there any vendors here in the US that import these Acer lines of nootebooks or through wich one can buy these? Don't wan't to pay the taxes in europe, or can you buy tax free somewhere from UK or such? If so where and how..
