Clock Speeds?

Thread Starter
Sup. I wanted to ask whether anyone knows the GPU clock speeds for the Hypersonic AX7. I am considering buying this machine and would like to know how high they have rated it. I was considering the CL56 but the GPU clock speeds seem quite low something like 390/210. I have called HS but sales dep. doesn't know. I e-mailed them as well and the told me 460/490 but this seems very high. Any help would be appreciated

all the athlon64 notbooks with 9700 mobility have been clocked at 450/210

no one ctually has the hyper ax7 yet so i cant confirm, but i got a hunch it'll be 450/210

the voodoo m:860 is clocked @ that
the ferrari 3200 is clocked @ that

Why are athlon64 laptops clocked as 450/210 while the pentium-m laptops seem to come at no more than the lowest settings?

Rock direct mentioned something about thermal limits/dynamics, but i dont totally believe them.

check out my thread regarding * sager 4750 or clevo 470 k
( chiligreen agilitas m5 470k).

http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=30649

The clock speeds posted are not overclocked ( stocked clock speeds).
GPU> 472.50
Memory> 249.75

Don't know why my laptop is clocked that high...... maybe chiligreen clocks its notebooks always higher than other resellers .....
Anyways , glad I have these clock speeds

Two reasons. One, heat; running at higher speeds might require active, or larger active cooling. Two, power. The lower speed you run the GPU, the less power it uses, which is desirable for a thin&light notebook.

does the mitac 8050 have active cooling? or is it just passive.

im looking at either that or the fujitsu-siemans amilo a1630 from www.nicepc.co.uk
