4750 countdown to release - Page 9

Never seen an issue with multiple repairs and warrantech, but I'd LOVE to know where you heard that. We still do Philips, but they're a pain to transfer, modify, and refund so to save ppl the trouble and hours of phone calls with problems, we tried out other places for weeks on a test/trial period and found this to be the best.

Anyway, I have decided to order from Pctorque. Mainly because i like the targus backpack at bit more than the gekgear one. Not much difference though. And PcTorque, is closer to me so hopefully it won't take as long for deliveries and such. I am waiting for my confirmation email though, hopefully this will come tomorrow, and then i can send the check. I wished I could have sent the check today though, so they would start on my system earlier.

Please provide the quote where I stated that! Not an extract, the full quote - or a link to it. Or if it was a PM, feel free to post it.

These links are contained within the PC Torque policies page: http://pctorque.com/policies.php

It is now much better:

I do not know when this change was accomplished or if it is retroactive for all PC Torque customers that purchased the plan while the old provisions indicated above were in effect.
I saw it in an older post as well, but I'm not sure the name of it, but this one was rather current.

If its voided after one repair and how long it takes to repair the laptop. Also if it has to be shipped out to sager and back to you, then finally to me. Laptops will break, i always have bad luck, so I know something will go wrong eventually, i just hope its simple to repair it. Not a big hassel like it is with big name companies. And how do you send it to pctorque so that you do not cause damage to it from shipping? I'm sure that would mess with the warranty if it were damaged?

Maybe this is what you saw earlier:

Please don't put words in my mouth. I never ever stated what you asked Adam about (regarding one time usage)!!

Do you think this thread will work for the 4750? replacing Fn key with Ctrl

Think that the big bold (and I mean BIG) warning at the top of that thread might mean something?

Does anyone know if the screen is of the glossy variety like that of the WSXGA+ screen on the 8790???

Does anyone have an experience with powernotebooks or pctorque that would make them recommend one over the other?
I find PCtorque to be cheaper.
I'm curious, if powernotebooks offers this new "package" suggested earlier in the forum, how much the dead pixel free and extras option will cost. I hate dead pixels a LOT.

Cowma is right, PCTorque do seem to be a bit cheaper. But what really swings the decision for me is the customer service. Just check out reselleratings. WOW! Not only that, but personal experience with PCT has made me realise they're just flat out good people. They helped me out a ton when I didn't even buy my machine from them. That's just good business.

Xtremenotebooks seems about the same price as pctorque, and has a very good reseller rating. If pctorque doesn't work out xtremenotebooks looks like they will be good as well. They have been very prompt with my questions. I am just concerned that since they are located so far away, a repair would take forever. that is why i am going with pctorque.

In most if not all cases, the reseller does not ever repair units that need to be fixed. Certianly in the case of PCTorque and the reseller I used ( ), if any repairs need to be done, everything is sent to Sager in CA. I wouldn't use that as a means for deciding who you buy from.

well also talked to pctorque staff more than the other. although sometimes slow to respond, the generally respond, and it usually answers my question. I'm just worried, that i'm not going to get my confirmation email.
