No, I don't think they're lying. I think they made a mistake when copying over code from one page to another while putting it into the system.

i wonder if they we have a gpu that uses 8 pipes using agp. i am pretty sure that is possible. i am going to write the check soon for the 4750. I will probably end up recieving the unit on the 20th or 21st. i just hope pctorque's warranty is good, i have never delt with them before.

There are no mobile GPUs that have 8 pipelines, but there are AGP 8X mobile GPUs. AGP 8X is not the same as 8 pipelines. Pipelines are inside the GPU. AGP 8X is the amount of bandwidth between the GPU and the rest of the system.

but could there be? i doubt every new mobile graphics card is going to be pci-e at first. i don't think they will stop developing chips for it for awhile.
Yes, there certainly could be. There were a few speculation posts on these forums a week or so ago with mobile GPUs up to 16 pipelines in them.

The information on the Via website is out of date. Socket 939 is new, but even before that there were Socket 940 dual channel Athlon 64 FX processors that have been on the market for some time.

If there are socket 754 AMD64 processors which have dual channel memory controllers, then that information is outdated. If not, then your information may be correct, but irrelevant.

Remember that the subject here is the Sager 4750, which according to the specs posted in the PCTorque announcement uses this particular VIA chipset with the 754 pin socket.

I'm not being a smartass, it's just that the other processors for other sockets have nothing to do with this notebook.

I wired it for an extra $15 bucks at the bank. It was the easiest route for me, and the fastest. I have this fear about sending $2700 in the mail!

now pctorque offers the phillips warranty. i wish they had earlier. xtremenotebooks also update their site, creating a amd 64 section of notebooks.
Wow, big price jump. What's the difference between the warranties? The same warranty by Phillips is double the price of the Warrentech.
