I don't want to sound mean, but we have covered the specs. Not all of them are we currently 100%. M-tech has some specs, as does chiligreen. You may want to look at past post to get a better understanding of the specs.

So it's basically an 8790 with a 64bit AMD processor and half the GPU memory. All this 64 bit stuff is overated imho. Granted it *might* end up being useful down the road, for applications we have NOW, my P4 will do just fine, thanks

Actually it's an 4780 with a new processor (AMD). Kind of like the 8790's little brother/sister; but not an 8790.

there are other threads for opinions. such as the 8790 vs 4750 thread of OgretheBUFFOON.
which has grown into a monstrous, fat thread with nothing worthwhile in the last 5 pages or so. I'm gonna start another one like that once we get 4750's in our hands.
maybe call i'll it, 4750 vs. THE WORLD!!!

Yeah, I know it's not the same. But it is very similar. Screen size, max ram, fullsize kb w/ numberpad, ports, etc. And I didn't mean that to come across as flaming. I think it's great Sager are offering a 64bit processor for those that really want one in laptop. I just don't think I'd conder selling my 8890 to get one is all.

Spookymonster has found out from hypersonic today that the 470 k chasis does include a dvi port.
sweet... I was worried about that
you can tell I'm going nuts when I do stuff like this...

went to m-tech's site, configged the 4750 the way I like price = $2075.
then configged a 5690 and a 4780, and configged them again at a place that sells discounted laptops, and calculated price ratio (discount / m-tech) : 0.9386.
thus, in my dreams my 4750 config at discount should be only $1948... w00t!

wow, agentsim. you need to just step away from the computer sometimes lol.

unfortunately I work for Ericsson doing incredibly boring testing... my day is spent in front of a computer, or playing pool...

notebookforums is the highlight of my hard working day
post #78 of 323
4750 is a worthy upgrade to the 4780.... Although as G- Says, it's not an 8790
I'll be interested to see some reviews...

No DVI out on 4750

Just talk to Luke at PCtorque and was told that they just heard from sager that the 4750 will not have DVI out but rather a 15 pin VGA.

Hypersonic still shows DVI out on their website for the AX7 but does anyone actually have one of these yet?
