Tursten,

Battery life sucks .
Maybe it's my configuration, because I have so many programs running.

Tested normal usage such as internet browsing etc... with my Netgear pc card ( pcmcia) and logitech MX 500 usb mouse pluged on .

1 hour and 7 minutes ( might be all the plugged in devices that drains so much battery ).

I will try 1 more time without any devices plugged into the notebook.
Hope to get at least 2 hours .
Wish me luck

Regards,
Jetnosfreak

Well.... I was expecting more than that in normal usgae, that just sux

Thanks, Jet!

It's really not a big deal, and the more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards the 4750. I spend a whole lot of time writing, and the 17" WSXGA resolution seems about perfect, both size-wise and for the fact that you can have two full-size documents side-by-side.

Battery life would be great, but as I get closer to actually dropping the cash the screen is becoming steadily more important. Can't wait to play some games on it; definitely seems like just about the perfect setup.

Edit: Doh! Forgot ask, how is the battery attached, does it seem like something that you could swap quickly without tools?

don't plugged in devices use laptop power? that doesn't seem like a good test for battery life.

The battery is held in place with 3 screws in the bottom of the unit, IIRC.

If everyone is worried about battery life, check this out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ssPageName=WDVW. I am going to get one for my 4790 when it comes. IT CAN LAST 10 HOURS WITHOUT EXPANSION PACK LIKE the Valence N-Charge Power System II has to have. You have to find out which volts and amps that it states on the back of your power brick. you do not have to get it off ebay but if you try to it is going to cost about 250.
Also, Jet, could you try dvd playback by closing all running processes, except those needed (close explorer also) and without any other programs running and no devices plugged in. I hope it at least gets 2 hours when you do that.

Chuck11, I would really like to hear how that goes for you. I looked at the manufacturers website and they did not list clevo at all on the list of supported models.
