My gripe with MWave is that I sent them an email asking them questions about it and they never got back to me. It'd be nice to know about the warranties on all the parts and what they're putting in.
At least if I build, I know what's going in, and I have the warranty on most parts.

yep, for the system i want it would be about $100 more to build than if i let mwave do it for me
how have your experiences been with sending individual components back to the original manufacturers? mine have always been bad, unfortunately... thats why i'd kind of like to get a complete kit i can send back to a 3rd party, they tend to have much better communication with their component vendors than i do. plus if you get a really big vendor they will sometimes just replace your part for free to save themselves hassle =D
have you guys looked at powernotebooks lately? 2 yr warranty standard now!

if you factor about $100 for the additional 1 yr of parts/labor, you come out to about $150 more than mwave, $50 more than DIY.
