Hi,

I'm sure this info is available somehwere on here, but I am i a real hurry. I am going overseas tomorrow and need help reformatting a dell inspiron 8200 1.5ghz, 256k ram).

1. I need to put win2k on there instead of XP. I can't seem to figure out how to boot from cd rom.

2. where can i get display drivers and other drivers i may need after i reformat.

I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks.

FYI, i looked in the BIOS... didn't find anything to boot from CD.

Should i run from XP and setup?

That doesn't work: CD contains an older version than XP. Disabling setup from CD.

place your win cd in, and boot the pc, keep pressing f12, and then choose to boot from cd rom.

then just follow with on screen instruction. Since you want to reformat you notebook, you should delete the partitions, then proceed with reformating.

it is very easy, at least thats what i got when i reformatted my notebook with winxp.
