Red Hat-Fedora

Does fedora look/act like a newer redhat, or does it look/act like a different distro. I currently have redhat 9, the last redhat. I use it on my laptop. Also any fedora issues with my laptop?

Fedora looks exactly like RH9. It´s just an updated version. AFAIK Redhat makes it´s enterprise builds on Fedora. Much the same as Staroffice is built from OpenOffice but with extended functions.

I'm running Fedora Core 2 on my laptop without a problem. Just about everything works out of the box. You'll obviously need to install the Linux FireGL drivers from ATI's website to get 3d working. IIRC, Alsa worked fine.

The firegl linux drivers on ATI's website are unified for all Radeon and FireGLs newer than the 8500.
