Hi, I was just wondering if you have seen a case where the UXGA LCD screen for the 5690 seems to leak light on the left side when the screen has dark colors on. Any help would be great.
If you can only see it with a dark background, in a room with dark lighting, then it's normal. I was told by Sager techs all if not most of them are the same.
Yup...all normal. Happens even on Dells, and other brand name laptops  Poor manufacturing is all. Just be aware these screens are VERY VERY VERY sensitive to pressure. I have bruising appearing on mine from sneezing too hard :Sigh: Just treat it with kid gloves. Don't try pressing on the edges to fix the light leakage whatever you do. Not even a little!!

In fact, a good habit is to NOT even touch the screen at all, Unless cleaning. To clean, use a very soft cloth and VERY GENTLY rub. Otherwise it's best to not even touch the screen.
