Are u gonna be a freshmen? I go to Michigan State as well, I'm a Senior, but don't buy any software. You can usually get it at a discounted price from the MSU Computer store. Here is the link to their website.http://cstore.msu.edu/ I haven't really looked at the software prices, mostly the computer prices. Whats your major going to be and where are u living on campus, if you know? I'm in mechanical engineering, so if your gonna be in engineering i can give you the heads up on stuff you may want for engineering. I can tell you that you will need MS Word and Excel for sure and maybe Powerpoint.

Pictures of the Gateway 450 side-by-side with 14.1 inch screen Sentia.

The 14.1 is no longer available, and has been replaced with the new 12" wie screen using a new Uniwill case. I have not seen it in person, but if the keyboard is the same size as mine, I would want one. But I have gotten used to the 1600x1400 res of the old Sentia and now prefer the high res settings.
