is this too top secret to discuss? or do i have in my possession the only 8887 in world with the misplaced g-spot?

There's supposed to be a fingerprint scanner there. But there isn't. For whatever reason, they put it there. Hopefully, in later models, they'll include it.

Yep, as Denkc said, it was to be a fingerprint scanner, but it never materialized... probably because bio-recognition is all fine and dandy in the movies and on paper, but sucks in real life.

I think they should have put one of those "mood detector" things there, so you can hold your thumb on it for a minute and see what kind of mood you're in by the color... my mood always seems "bored" - maybe because pressing my thumb on a thermal-sensitive material isn't exciting for me.

where to find the mood ring material...now that would be a cool application of that spot....

I opened up my Sager last month to look underneath that fingerprint square, and to my surprise found a hidden city of micro-people! They said that everytime I plug in the power cord in the back, the surge kills at least half of their population. Thankfully they multiply pretty fast if you leave the 8887 on for an extended period of time. One fun thing to do is drain the battery, and just before it dies, the alarm beep comes on. That makes them psychotic because they don't know if the laptop is going to shut off or if the power cord is going to be plugged in and wipe them out...

OK, I'm just kidding! As if you all didn't know, right?

They all live under the touchpad...

I'm afraid the mood would always show red, considering the heat source on which it would be sitting. lol

lol you're a funny guy! everyone knows that mood rings are not heat sensitive! they detect the volet, crimson, sapphire, emerald of one's aura theretofore revealing the color of one's spiritual energy!

As part of a stress awareness program, every teacher at my school had to wear a mood sticker. So, I made it my goal, and succeeded, to turn all of them black, thus forcing them to go to some extra group stuff.

Besides the fact that biometrics are kinda expensive
post #14 of 53
I wouldn't say expensive.

The problem with them is they're not realiable. They can also cause false negatives or positives.

False negative?

How bout a pregnancy tester. Dude, you're getting a baby!

caffeine, blood sugar, bac tester, for those all night gaming/coding sessions. Gotta know when to 'top of the fluids'
Why not just a little electric charge to shock you? That'd wake you up on those long gaming sessions...

"Hang on a sec, I need a little jolt..." *bbzzzzztt* "HEY!, THAT'S BETTER!"
