I'm new.
I've lurked over the past 4 or 5 days and all it's done is increase my anticipation.
I ordered Saucer Silver but I'm thinking about making a call to the Mothership and all that to put a fresh coat of green on that tank.
I'm really looking forward to being a proud pwner of an Alienware and a regular contributer to the seemingly unrelenting level of discussion here.

PS: You know you're eager to get your new toy when you spend 20 minutes at 1 am working on a forum avatar.

you aren't the only one living in his parent's basement.
actually my mom's basement, but only until mid-august.
off to college!

Phase 3: (Payment Received)
Your order has been processed and is currently awaiting the configuration (component) verification phase.
It is my understanding that phases do not actually represent what phase your computer is currently in. I guess calling would give me an up-to-date progress report but I was wondering if, perhaps, there was any way to speed up the process?
I didn't order anything backordered as far as I know, got the messenger bag so I won't have to wait out those extra 2 weeks or so.
Thoughts?

I used to live in my parents basemen too and my cousin who is also a computer nut lives in his parents basement as well. What is it with us geeks and trying to stay as far away from natural light as possible. My excuse was it glared on my monitor! Now I have a laptop I can come out of my basement and actually go out side fidn a shady spot and frag to my hearts content! that is as long as there is an ample power outlet and Wi-fi access!

congrats on the new lappy, i'd definetly call and switch to green. I ordered mine with a green case and I can definetly say its cooler than silver

grrrrr.....
i want my Alienware!
I had a dream last night about the FedEx guy delivering it to my door and when he handed it to me he dropped it. And everything broke. I woke up and I was like THANK GOD IT WAS A DREAM!
I'm going crazy. My original estimated shipping date was the ninth of july.
that was before i decided to upgrade stuff.
so i'm waiting.....
Whenever I start thinking it's taking forever to get here, I think of S.S Mario.
I don't know about you guys, but i have MAD RESPECT for S.S Mario.
If I had to wait that long....
jeez.

I just kept thinking about how great it will be... but I had that same dream, with the fedex guy. If he did, I'd probably kill him right there on the spot. I was in a crazy way that day....

s.s. mario waited longer than 5 weeks. I still in phase 8 and will be for about just over 3 more weeks. I hope. lol. As long as i have my laptop 2 days before i leave for college im happy.
