hmmm?Well, I have a sager, but I fix macs in my spare time, go figure.
I had an epiphany today while fixing a slow ass Mac OS 9.2 ibook. It's actually pretty easy to use and relaxing at that.
I just got heavy into editing on my sager, and premiere pro is pretty good for what i need. however, Final cut pro is the industry standard, and all my music producer friends are all on macs. But, the powerbook G5s are coming out very soon and powerbooks get outdated fast! My boss has a powerbook g4 2001 and the thing is a pig, can't even edit it and it was reformated etc, no power at all.
But, for around $3500 you can get a pretty good powerbook G4 suped up, one gig of ram, 128 vid card for rendering in 3d apps, 80 gigs at 5400....1.5 ghz. Oh yeah, and internal 6 pin firewire is awesome, pcmcia fireware cards for pc suck ass, need external power and thing is slow.
I guess I'm kind of rambling because I'm stuck myself, there is so much a mac can't do, but what it does, it does well. I'd go for the mac, if you are going to go for a pc, go for a Sager hands down, nothing compares, maybe an Alienware.
