I have had my np5690 for a few weeks, and everything is great except for two major annoyances. The first is that Vice City stops loading save games about halfway through the game and just endlessly displays a black screen. I don't think that's an issue with the Sager, but it is pissing me off anyway. Each savegame as the game progressed took longer and longer to load, and now I can leave it for several hours with nothing but a black screen.
The main problem that I am more disturbed about is slowdowns in windows. It takes about 5-15 seconds for the context menu to show up when I right click on something! It also takes about 45 seconds from double click to the actual execution of a program. Somehow I do not think this is because my computer is not powerful enough for XP. I am running Windows XP SP1 with all the updates. I am using the video drivers that came with the laptop since the Catalyst drivers I downloaded claim I don't have an ATI card and therefore refuse to install.
