Fujitsu Amilo-A or HP Evo nx9010? Or perhaps IBM?

Thread Starter
I am interested in purchasing a laptop for my upcoming research degree studies in the USA. As I'm from Israel, I have to buy a machine with an international warranty, and as I have limited funds, it can't be too fancy. Oh, also, I can't buy it in the US (personal stuff), which would have been better, I guess.
Combining these factors, the two best choices I have at the moment are the above-mentioned computers. The specs:

Amilo-A - AMD Athlon XP2600, 256Mb RAM, 15" screen, 40Gb HDD, DVD/CD-RW Combo, 64Mb ATI Radeon 9600, 10/100 Ethernet, 56Kbps Modem/Fax, 5 USB ports, 1 FireWire, Win XP Home & MS Office Works, 3.5Kg.

nx9010 - well, excactly the same, but Intel Celeron 2600, 15.1" screen, 2 USB ports but with PS/2 and parallel.

Other options are the Amilo K, as well as the IBM G40 or R50 - both of which require a slight (150-200$) price leap, but have a Centrino / P4 processor.

So, basically, it comes down to which is the better computer in real life, because on paper, they look almost identical.

Also which has better support in the US (tech and over the phone), HP or Fujitsu?

I'll appreciate any and all comments - I'm flying in two weeks, so I need to order the computer within the next two days. Thanks in advance!

HP has better support in the US, hands down. I would seriously consider the IBM, just for support, build quality, etc. Well worth the money in my opinion.
