Ok, my 5670 came last week (joy) and I have been working with dvd rips a lot now. Well, I ran out of media, so I decided to temp store the images of my rips (ranging from 4 gigs to about 7.5 gigs) on my 20 gig external hd (connected by usb 2.0). Well, with 12 gigs free, I tried to send my 4 gig iso to the drive, and it told me that I did not have enough space. I then moved everthing off the drive, and tried again (thinking maybe the number reported by windows was messed up for some reason (I don't know, but figured that it was worth a shot). Well, the same thing happened. So, I used partition magic to completely format the drive, and still the same thing happens. Now, on my desktop, I was able to transfer large files just fine (before I got my laptop), so I think it might have something to do with the laptop usb connection. Currently, I have windows xp sp1 installed as well as the usb2.0 drivers included on the driver cd that came with my 5670. Any thoughts?
