I have the 4x dvd burner and I am trying to make some backups of some of my dvds. The problem seems to be that after it makes the copy, the same dvd reader cant read it. I can take the copy to another machine, or a dvd player and read it no problem...it just cant be read in the 8790 4x reader (the one that burned it.)
I had the older 8790 with the 2x burner and had no issues, and have no idea why this is happening. There was a thread http://notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=27157 that talks about it, but no resolution ever was talked about. Also I'm using the dvds that we're recommended by G-Omaha..the Ritek ones
Oh yeah...also I can watch any other dvd no problem...just not the backups
