I was just looking through www.cnet.com and saw that dell has just launched a service campaign to replace motherboards in nearly 20,000 inspirion notebooks. The notebook is the Dell 2650. The part about this that amazes me is that instead of forcing people to send their systems in, they are actually going to them. I figure that since they don't have that many people on their payrole to go around replacing motherboards it's pretty likley they'll hire outside techs as contractors.
Anyway just thought i'd bring this to everyone's attention, post your thoughts and tell me what you think. Personally i don't like Dell but this is a pretty good example good customer service.
Oh yeah here's a link if you feel like seeing it for yourself
