Some civilization3 would work, doesnt require any focus, and you can be interupted and not die hehe

<-- Castlevania on Zsnes during Soc 100, but that was a couple years ago, before I got this pretty CL56.

I go to Purdue and CS is still pretty big around there, the campus even hosts servers. Maybe I will play that, not.

How do you get games to play in windows like that rince?
post #25 of 46
hehe crazy, i was accepted to purdue for CS, but I decided that I'm gonna go to Miss State and do CS there. They've got a great engineering school, which CS falls under. I know one thing, I ain't gonna be playing games in class. Very very bad thing to do unless you're taking management as a major or something. I'll be paying attention so I can make the big bucks later on in life. Beware in-class gamers, you'll be working for me someday, LOL.

go to ati control panel
go to display
click lcd
config it so u dont "stretch" image when in non naitive resolution
hit alt enter when running game to run it windowed

or config the games ini (config) file

heres what my nwn looks like

[Display Options]
Width=1024
Height=768
BitsPerPixels=32
RefreshRate=60
TexturePack=3
SafeMovie=0
FullScreen=0
UseLargeFont=0
AllowWindowedMode=1

fullscreen=1 is true
fullscreen=0 is false (window mode)

most games have an option not to run full screen, ie americas army, farcry, unreal 2k4

Snood is probably the best game of its kind.

snood is just a lousy rip off of bust a move, which is THE most adictive puzzle game ( yes im looking at you , tetris..) ever created. i have been playing it since 94 on neo-geo in the arcade and every incarnation thereafter. snood blows. so there. nyahh. ;P~

Recently it's been Battlefield vietnam in class. Used to be UT2004.

lol i just play games on the schools TI-83s, my school lets the students use them (pity that they usually get thrown out the window/into the trash/toilet). i've gotten asteroid, space invaders, tetris, and a few other things onto mine.

i downloaded a shareware demo of doom and i'm sorry but i can't play it at all. much too difficult to control with nothing but the keyboard. i think i'll be waiting for doom 3, then...

Playing games in class is not big or clever. You will realise this when you are unable to get a job after graduation.

i'll second that emotion. you may be able to get away with half-assing your way through high school, but don't expect to get anywhere in the big world if you do it in college. I've wasted my high school years never doing my homework and managing to get a B in everything, in a hard school, but that's about to end when I start college this fall. I probably won't play games but only 2-3 times a MONTH. This is the big leagues.

You'll end up having so much more free time in college that I seriously doubt you will only play 2-3 times a month. Very few people just go to college and spend all their time studying, considering the fact that a standard courseload is 4 courses and many don't spend over 4-5 hours a day in class. Gaming is RAMPANT in college. You will not escape it.

ever heard of work OUTSIDE the classroom. its called homework and studying. I'm gonna be majoring in CS and I doubt I'm gonna have that much free time to play games. I'm not sure I'd even want to play games anyway. I'd rather be getting drunk off my ass at parties.

Law school will make you study.

Liberal arts is for the weak.

Realise? It looks like YOU'VE been the one slacking off in class!
