I really like the Mahjong tiles. Those look very nice!
that one was using bump mapping and i found some picture of mahjong icons. i had to edit them to fit the pieces. actually the tile is complete and there are a green backing on them. i probably should have rotated each piece. the best composed picture is definetly the hand though. very interesting negative space. i think i should keep that in my portfolio.

nice work maya. can't wait to see what you do AFTER art school
post #74 of 78
thanks. i learned so much the first year. i wonder what its going to be like. plus i will be using a much more powerful computer than an 800 mhz athlon.

nice stuff...

I guess what I am working on is the underlying code that you use

I am trying to build real-time raytracing and radiosity engines for computer games... hard work tho...
as long as i don't have to deal with coding i will be happy. i had to use pov ray before, and although its a simple computer language, it really inhibits me from using my creativity. i like to have direct control rather, than typing 20 lines of code to do something.
hehe... 20 lines of code

my last attempt at full realtime radiosity required 7,500 lines of C++, and still only ran at 1.4 fps

my math skills have went down wind recently, i kind of gave up math after ap calculus. i dropped that and took ceramics. still didn't do that great in ceramics. my stuff always seemed to explode, and i don't like being covered in clay. speaking of exploding, in chemistry, my stuff exploded a lot, and i like to add soap to everything.
