Pretty sure it will... cuz that's the one in my computer!

It's 2.5", it will work. Same as in mine too
Remember to swap the pin converter from old hard drive to new when installing, good luck.

Stu, go back to sleep.

You'll need the energy to read all the information on the Dell Spoofs thread.

It'll work if you install it correctly :-P

Um, how do you do that. Does this price seem a little too good for this product?
Changing the pin adapter is easy. It slips off the end of the old HD, and you slip it straight onto the pins of the new HD, always being cautious not to bend or snap the pins. Following is a pic of what I am talking about with the pin adapter.

The price is definately very low, must be a mistake (usually US200+), but newegg are very reliable so hopefully will honour it, so snap it up quick.

Good luck,

Wish I had seen this earlier. Already listed as out of stock. Incredible price on this drive.

Will it work in a 600m?
Yes.

I suggest that anyone who wants one order it, and just wait until they get more in. The will probably still honor it.

I wish you could. All you can do is ask to be notified when they're back in stock. You can't order. This note on the auto-notification page doesn't give me a lot of hope.
Please Note:
Due to limited supply, all stock are sold at first come first serve base. Auto notify does not guarantee availability and price. All prices are subject to change without notice.

wow...amazing price. it costs $200 to UPGRADE from dell. save a 140, and have an extra HD
post #13 of 27
Yeah the cheapest I have seen this drive so far has been around 197USD. I put myself on the notification list but don't have much hope they will still offer it at this price when they get more stock in.

deffinetely a mistake
Yeah it will change unfortunately.... but even if it goes back near US$200 for those with 4200rpm drives and the cash it is a very worthwhile upgrade I highly recommend.

I'm pretty set on getting it. The price is updated (the link no longer works) and it's about $150. Cheaper than a gigabyte of RAM, and probably more worthwhile.
Yeah, 4200rpm->7200rpm is definately more worthwhile with the performance increase than 512MB->1024MB... and US$150 is still a pretty good price.

what about this enclosure? I don't want this 30 gig to be useless, so I am giving it to my brother who wants an external anyway. Will this work?
Assuming the HDD you are refering to is a 2.5" drive? It should work fine.

can you move the original HD to the modular bay and run 2 HDs inside at once?
