Different versions of eMachine 6805

I bought a 6805 about two weeks ago and a buddy just got his today from the same store.

His 6805 has a 'blue' function for the numeric 1 key above the Q. It turns the illumination for the on/off buttion and the other 'lights' on and off.

Mine does not have this. Is this a BIOS function because that means that he has a different BIOS. Yes I can check BIOS Vers. but I can't right now.

Wierd.

Do you have this funcion on your 6805??

My #1 key doesn't indicate that it turn the leds on/off, but it does. Did you try the function key with the #1 key?

My Function and F1 key turn the lights on and off.

I have the m6809 and even though it is not marked, the FN and F1 key will turn off the LED lights.
