Laptop is running like a champ. I bought the 16" UXGA version, 3.2ghz, 9600radeon, 7200rpm drive, etc. No power issues, no dead pixels yet, no hickups. I sometimes leave it on for 5-6 days straight (It is my "desktop replacement") and it works very well.

Been playing Battlefield Vietnam on full resolution (old 3300 3dmark03 score), works great. Thinking about upgrading to the 5690 motherboard, maybe another 512k ram. Dunno yet...

Well, my brother just built a gaming PC.. scored 7800 on 3dmark03. I am thinking of upgrading for the faster ATI card really.

I don't know why they don't offer the 16" UXGA screen...

they sold 5680's with 16"s???

i thought it was just the 8890 that could have either the 15" 5680 screen or the 16" standard 8890 screen

No, it is either not 16" or not 5680.

I have a 5680 with a 16.1" UXGA. That is what I am typing to yo uwith. It was a $199 option over a normal 15" screen.

"According to Sager, the 8890 is now discontinued. We have no word of the chassis being used for any future release.

With the lack of 16" LCDs in the market it's been a struggle to keep production going and believe that to be the death of it. We're sad to see it go and recognize it for being the first laptop to ever have hardware raid (that we know of) and to hold 3 internal hard drives. Many called it ugly though that didn't stop the masses from falling in love with its "inner" (technically speaking) beauty ."

This may have been the reason they are not available for the 5680 anymore.

I highly doubt the 5680 ever was sold with a 16.1" screen. Are you sure you have a 16.1" screen?
