New XPS/9100 BIOS A03

Thread Starter
As somms pointed out in the general section, there is a new bios for XPS/9100 owners. The bit of interesting news is one of the fixes is support for newer video cards. Now the extremely good news for 9100 owners is the 9100 bios ALSO includes that upgrade. Looks like you guys are good to go

So this means we can upgrade the video card in the future? What else does the update do?
not much else..fixes usb 2.0 lockout or similar. i have no usb issues so i wont update that now.

The card is x800 based. Pity. Should be 6800 based. I miss digital vibrance greatly. The display looks so faded and washed out compared to my desktop!

Cheers!

connect your desktop monitor to the latop...how does the m9700 look then? you could always tweak the color balance and other settings in the ati contol panel as well.
The monitor obviously looks better but the color is similar. I had a 9800XT that essentially was the same. DV is essentially a saturation control and it's a shame that ATi has omitted this well needed feature.

I've played with the settings on the XPS until the cows came home and it still isn't there.

Cheers!

true...after my post i checked the settings...saturation was missing...would be a good feature. let me post that on rage.com forums :P

Do any of the LCD's have an edge in this department? I feel the same way about the Sharp on my 9100.
