AAAAARGHHHHHH!!!!
I dont know what happened bu I moved the unit to a different work bench... Made the bonehead maneuver of moving it myself (radiator and all), and when I tried to power it up on the other desk it was dead!
dead I tell you...
checked power supply(ies). Checked the power switch board it seems to be working... The switch correctly opens/closes when depressed etc... Took out the Wireless module and the TV card (which I never really got working anyway).
Been surfing the forums tonight when I get home I will reseat, and try out the memory in different slots one at a time (as per the folks of Sager). If that does not work, they said they would gladly have a look at the MOBO and the power switch (I must say, they have been very, very helpful!)...
I'll post up when its figured out and will post the pics of it...
Why does this stuff happen AFTER you have spent all the time installing os, drivers...etc...
No need to flame me for being so stupid, I am beating myself up enough...
Thanks 4 the support so far...
PS MrMsyvc - I was going 4 the futuritic look, but I will do that on my office one if I lay my hands on another MOBO... The home unit needs to fit into the decor of the space, which is rustic, all antiques, nothing modern showing (w this unit working I will be able to hide the strereo etc leaving only the speakers reminiscent of the technological age.... However my office, if and when I get another mobo will be a peice of modern art/sculpture type of arrangement...
(any readers that did or are doing the 8890 update please ask 4 your mobo back 4 me!)
UPDATE:
No joy on the RAM swap out. Must of shorted something... Board going back to Sager will keep you posted on results.
