New Sager Centrino?

Hey all! Just registered after 3 month reader! Yip!

Anyways... I am looking to buy about a year from now and I was wondering if Sager may be making or thinking about making any new centrino lappys. The 3760 is nice but Sager has gotta make a new one some time cause it will get outdated... Actually not necesarily Centrino but Pentium M is what I mean. As well, is Intel making any new mobile processors anytime soon? Any ideas? Thanks for the replies!

Cheers to notebookforums

Intel's newest mobile processor is the centrino dothan, I think. It's suppose to be a very nice processor, much better than the previous centrino's. If sager does come out with on i'm sure that's what they'll use.

Anyway, I would think the 3760 could use a decent GPU, if it had the 9700 in it would definitely consider it. It would be sager's version of the cl56.

I bet in a year there will be mobile processors that are faster than P4's but can get 8+ hours of battery life and are nice n' cool. Amd's mobile efforts look promising, they will use lower voltage than even the dothan.

I just ordered the 3760 from PCT last Sunday, have not yet received it. I had been waiting for the new Dothan processors, and as soon as they were available... I jumped on it. Two days after I ordered, PCT started offering the 745 and 755... bummer but not the end of the world...
But then today I logged in and saw Clevo is releasing the M375EW which is upgrade for the M375E (the core of the 3760) with the Raedon 9700... ( Sager will surely be offering this any day now.
So I have yet to receive my laptop and it is already obsolete. The lesson is... no matter when you order, no matter how long you wait... you will never be future-proof and you will in all likelihood kick yourself for not waiting x-number more days/weeks. That said, I am sure I will enjoy my 3760 with the 735 Dothan and Raedon 9600. So in the end... just buy what is available today that best suits your needs and in a few years... upgrade. Otherwise... you are forever on the sidelines just waiting.

The Clevo is here:

There is no guarantee that Sager will make a version using it... but... odds are they probably will. It is one of the few new Pentium-M products Clevo has on there site.

Hrm, it's a 128mb 9700, at that. 15.4" WUXGA is an option according to Clevo, too. Sounds pretty nice.

OMG That is awsome! 15.4" WXGA all the way to WUXGA! This laptop is incredible! Lets see... Dothat up to 1.8 is pretty damn good.... ATI 9700 sweet!.... 1.2" high!!!!.... 7 pounds is pretty decent for this... Wow I never saw this before thx for the link!

And price is... I dunno ?!
no prob. they just posted it today... I was there yesterday and it wasn't there... and I have to say, I wish I were getting this one instead of the one I ordered... but oh well...

As for the price... well... if I had to guess I would say $2300... of course that is pure speculation... who knows, Sager may decide to not even carry it.
