Videocard Question

I downloaded the Omega Drivers and 3DMark 03 lists my videocard as "Primary Device ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600/9700 Series (Omega 2.5.51) " is this normal? (since I should be running a 9700?)

I received like 10,450 3dMark01s and 3098 3DMark03s

That is in fact the name of both the 9600 and the 9700 cards. The number is almost right, but I'm getting a lot higher. You should uninstall the omegas and reinstall the original ati's and see if that helps.

What are average benchmark scores from 3dmark01 (as I havent used 03) for a A51m? Daegras, mine will be similar spec to yours, what does your system get, and did you do any tweaking to achieve better scores (tweaking from out-of-box config)..?

In the 3400 area for 9700s, are your clock settings correct?

How do I check?

If you purchased AlienAdrenaline (Powerstrip) with your system, it will tell you if you go to "Performance Profiles and select Configure". If you don't have AlienAdrenaline, but you are still running the Omega drivers, there should be a tab in the Driver Configuration that says Radlinker. That will also let you check/change the clocks of your vid card.

Memory: 250Mhz, Engine: 445Mhz is that normal for a R700m? Powerstrip also calls it 9600/9700 series.

I got it up to 3330 and as I repeated it (reboot then run again) it kept going down to 2998 the fourth time

Using Omega Drivers I was able to consistently pull 3693 in '03. My clock settings are 475/260. I've tried raising these settings but benchmarks started to fall considerably. At 525/305 I had no artifacting but benchs were 1005-1007.

Needless to say, I backed up settings to 475/260.

thinkjose1, what are your AW specs?

make sure you turn off all unnecessary programs and services...that tends to help your benches
