Laptops in Canada

lo folks

I searched around the forums for info on performance laptops available up north, however I have yet to find any real viable providers up here. I know I could always go with an already built lappy, the likes of Asus or Acer, but I would like to see if I can get a custom one. Eurocom is the only one that springs to mind.

Any experiences, comments, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think specifically would matter? But I am located in Ontario. Buying out of province would save me PST though

Check out these sites. I'm planning to buy an Asus M6BNe or M6N from one of these sites.

www.etccomputer.ca <--- has a zero dead pixel policy. If you notice a dead pixel appear suddenly in under 15 days, you can quickly exchange the notebook for a new one. They check for dead pixels before shipping the notebook out.

Did you get it yet? Any dead pixels? Do they build it for you at no extra cost?

Ordered it yesterday, should be here in about a week.

They charge $29 cdn for a standard 1 year warranty (parts and labour) with assembly of the laptop.

Sweet. Post pics when you get it

Shipping cost a lot?

I chose the "Professional" warranty package. It cost $59, comes with 1 years parts and 2 years labour.

Shipping was UPS Expedited, it cost $15.

The plus for this place is that you can price match most items. I got them to pricematch 4 items for the laptop, so I saved almost a hundred dollars.

Oh yea, if u live outside of ontario, no PST charged
