Delivery Estimate: July 27 - July 29

How accurate is this? And, is there the possiblity of it arriving before the 27th?

My order shipped with the 'Dell Free Shipping' offer, by the way.

thats probably accurate if you had 3-5 day shipping from ups. because ups does not operate on weekends (at least it doesn't count them in shpping schedules), and they will never deliver pakcages early. however, i had that shipment type also, so since mine was sent out in the afternoon wednesday, i expected it to get here monday or tuesday (3 or 4 business days). but when i checked the tracking number today, it said my shipment had been re-scheduled for a 7/23 delivery date! so you may be that lucky too, check the status with your tracking number.

Mine just shipped out, well actually, it's "in transit to carrier." Does it really take 2-3 days just to get the tracking number after this stage?

Oh and btw, I was just checking my system detail and it says my 600m is coming with a 40gb 5400rpm drive, even though i was just expecting a 4200rpm drive. Is this happening for everyone?
my tracking info took at least a full day to show up on the UPS website. and yes, i'm getting a 5400rpm hard drive as well. we're either lucky, or they're just not using 4200 anymore, for the 40gb at least.

I don't believe it. My notebook 'shipped' yesterday, and today when I checked the order status (UPS) I see that it's 'out for delivery'. Bare in mind that this is 'UPS Ground' service, and I honestly didn't expect to receive this notebook this week. Wow! How does that work out?
well, ups came today during lunch hours, and i was not expecting that! thank god, though, for Same Day Will Call. i'll be able to pick it up at the regional branch 2 miles from my house at 8:30pm.

anyway, my blunder aside, that leaves the whole process from order to delivery, taking a few hours under 5 days. not bad considering the delivery itself was supposed to take 3-5.

My i600m. Assembled in Malaysia. Destination: Auckland, New Zealand.
Ordered 19 July
Built+Tested 20 July
Shipped via Bax Global 20 July
Arrival to NZ 22 July
Dispatched to local courier 23 July

Estimated delivery date when order was made 02 August
Estimated delivery date after arrival into NZ 27 July
Estimated delivery date after being passed onto local courier 28 July
I don't care what date it is, if they don't deliver on 26 July, I'll go pick it up myself!

Quite annoying how they had to pass it through 2 freight companies. I could've picked it up from the 1st one myself. Oh well, looks like I'll be getting it on Monday hopefully (2 days away till Monday down here).

My i600m, I ordered 3 days ago and it's still processing, is that normal? Is it because I ordered it with the new Dothan Pentium M?
Welcome to the forum!

It's possible... don't be too worried. Dell experiences highs and lows in orders... right now is probably a high season because of so many students buying comps. Don't be discouraged.
ttkgeek, mine had the new 755 in it, so i don't think that's the case.
Mine has been in "boxing" for two days, what's wrong?
nothing, mine took 2-3 days in boxing. It's actually being shipped to the States, or whatever country you're in, from Malaysia during the 'boxing' stage.
Yep. As mentioned, Boxing stage includes shipping from its place of manufacture, usually in the Malaysian or Singaporean plant. Average is about 2-3 days, can be up to 5 days.
