mitac 8050 recharge time

I just got my mitac 8050, so far everything seems okay(NO DEAD PIXELS!!!!!!), but the battery recharge time from 0 to 100% is over 4 hours!!!!! and im only getting 2:30hrs of battery life(600mhz, playing mp3, second brightest screen)... is there something wrong with my battery?

maybe considering I get about that much battery life playing movies/games

Yeah like he said. it does sound a little low condering that i am getting the same life watching a dvd. Did you change your video settings to lowest power while on battery?

The battery should take ~2.5 hours to charge while it's off. While it's on it will take a while.

video setting u mean by brightness? or by turning down the clock speed of the radeon? OTOH, i dont see the powerplay tab on my omega driver.

oh btw, i had wifi on before, not sure if it degrades the battery performence by this much...

I got a replacement battery from RJTech and the new one gave me 2 hours of DVD playback and there was still another 15-20 mins of juice left. THis is compared to 1 hour and 35 mins I used to get with my first battery. Based on what others are getting, I would say that you should ask Richard to replace your battery - it seemed to work for me.
