I dont know how long it will take me to jack an OS though....I may just use Home XP from my parents pc whenever I get there though. Plus I didnt do 2nd day air or anything. I will do what I can when I get it though.

How long does it generally take for UPS to update its tracking page? The last scan on my laptop was in CA, on the 11th for its "departure scan." That was 4 days ago, what good is a tracking program if it doesn't update until you get it? I like FedEx a lot more than UPS.

Not worried yet, but if my lappy doesn't come when UPS says they will deliver ... some heads are gonna roll.

Tommouse: I recently ordered a microscope for school. It was delivered via UPS yesterday. Interestingly, the tracking page indicated the package was still on it's way from San Diego about 30 min prior to the brown truck pulling up to my driveway. Just for kicks, I checked the tracking page again late last night, and, amazingly, the package had been routed from San Diego, to our local UPS station where it was scanned, to my UPS driver's truck to my front door -- all in about 5 hours' time.
I agree with Mayaman, the UPS tracking system sucks. I would venture to guess, though I haven't actually read the agreement, that this is why you must click on the little box indicating you understand the terms of the tracking system (read, "Our tracking system bites, and you won't hold us responsible for any false information you receive from it.") before you can actually track a package.

Of course, this won't stop me from checking my tracking number every 5 minutes for the next 5 days until I get my 3790.

UPS = FedEx

Neither is much good. Both have regularly failed to deliver packages to me within their specified period. Neither even seemed to care that they had done so.

I ordered my lapotp the 6th and still have no tracking number...what gives? Anyone else order then and still have no tracking number?

I ordered mine on the 8th and i already received it...

nah jk... i still dont have my tracking # either
One guy from sager was telling me, just before i purchased, that they were already on back order... so I just assume theres bunches of people infront of us

I ordered mine on the 5th and haven't yet gotten a tracking number. I hope they ship it out soon, I need mine for college which starts in 9 days.

Must be backordered. It's not like PCT to make people wait this long. Hope they put out an announcement or something to explain what the hold up is. I hate being kept in the dark, and I would hate to see a bunch of orders canceled over this.
