eurocom does overcharge a lot.

I wish there was a DVI connector or a docking station with one. It seems to have everything else.

you can get a dvi to pcmcia adapter.

You can currently get a well-spec'ed CL56 for under $1500 at MWave. I don't suppose there's much chance that an upgraded version of the 3760 will even get close to that, seeing that the current 3760 is already pushing 1700 as it is..

you are getting a better screen with less gradient issues.
For sure but $400 better? I'll always go for the higher spec but only if the price increase is justifiable relative to the gain.

it might be the chasis. it looks like its aluminum. which may be a cause for the added price. i do think the lcd upgrade is a plus though, since its one of the most important parts of the laptop. Afterall your looking at it most of the time.

yes, that's one of the main reasons I picked the 4750, gorgeous 17" WSXGA+

that's one of the reasons i didn't go with the compal.

I wonder when and if Clevo/Sager will come out with a 15.4 WUXGA, ati9700-128, with A64-mobile. That combo will be sweet!

Clevo M37EW

I have posted pictures of the M37EW from the Clevo site. They were tucked away in a zip file. There are links to this file, the pdf brochure and the M37EW page on Clevo's site on this page.

What I don't like particularly, and this may be the same with the current Sager 3760, is having all the ports on the sides and front. The USBs are all right at the front corner, the audio jacks are in the front, etc.

Here are pics of the sides:

Left (Front of machine is ===> )

Right (Front of machine is <=== )

Note there is no pic of the back. I wonder if there are no ports in the back at all ?!

nice pics, looks like a sweet machine

the realistic dream lappy (for me) would be a 17" WUXGA+ Sager 8750 with mobile amd athlon 64 3700+, 256meg m24(or w/e the next uber pci-e mobile card is), 2 gig o ram, 2 60gig 7200rpm hd in raid 0, wi fi, all the necessary ports, etc. It would be well over 3k, but that's why it's a dream

It's not a Mitac, it's a Uniwill. Fujitsu also make a version of it and Mwave have it priced at around $1300. You're right about the running hot though, and your battery life is under 100 minutes.

Oops. I always get the name confused on that one.

OK, I'm ready for the Sager 3770 to come out. Eurocom is already selling the M37EW, what's the hold up, fellas?
