Laptop Prices in 2008

Does anyone have a good estimate of what a really good laptop would cost in 2008, and what kind of features could it have?

well its gonna cost more because of inflation and its gonna have a on board radeon x10million and have 12gb of ram a 128bit processor at 10ghz with 10mb cache and it will get 2 days of battery life

probably a week of batt life, just look at how cell phones evolved, smaller, faster, MORE ram/storage, color (color for cell phones would be the equiv of 3D holographic images), wireless to the motherload (BT and IR for phones, laptops would have some sort of subspace comm channel to get internet all over the world and to mars)

OK Moores law people.... Its held for years... it still has....

However HEAT and SIZE are near certian limits so there needs to be a REAL quantum type breakthrough... we're about at the END of the incrimental growth to be had.

Bandwidth and smaller lighter will be the changes....

Im getting an Acer for Mostly 1 reason...

I cant get 300 or 400 GB worth of media on ANY OTHER System...

When the 2.5 or smaller HDs reach 7200 or 10,000 RPM and have 500 GB or better storage,... then I can use my 10 year old Acer for a boat anchor.

Until then... keep dreamin while the rest of rock!
