I ordered that card today (sunday) and had that bit6ch overnighted to a friends house since I am on base...I should get it on wed It is going to be so cool to play my ps2 games on a 16.1 screen... I hope this works...Does this mean I can also record the movies off the game?

anything I should know?

LOL

Yes if it has the ability to record you should be able to.
it's actually not whether it has the ability to record, it's whether you have software that can capture it, which i don't think i've ever seen a video capture device come without some sort of software that allows it

How does it interface with the laptop?

Yeah but I am on a navy boat with no car and these guys ship items...All I need it for is to view my ps2 games on my 16.1 screen. if it does that then I am all cool with that I need nothing more.

It looks to me that this unit is designed to share a PC monitor or 'external' LCD screen. Are you expecting it to work on a laptop?

Worse case scenario, you'll be able to watch TV on your AW.

Hmm, I like that idea!

I better have NE add one of those too my dual layer Burner order.

Um , when did AW start including vga-in ports on their laptops??????
Oh wait they dont. oops-
Me thinks someone should understand their hardware better.

The only way u can do what u want is with a usb capture device. And they have notoriously bad picture quality, but oh well, iat 100+$ its not that expensive of a lesson. hehe

Archalien... I've read many of your posts and you do not seem to be a very nice person. You should try helping people vs. criticizing them.... IMO

PSYCHO,
Some people have such low self-asteem, the only way for them to get off....is by putting others down.

Personally, I feel sorry for people like that. Their so pitiful, how could you not?

Archalien, we still love you

This is my opinion, and should be taken as such.

He may be mean, but he sure as **** knows what he's talking about. He held his own in our p4ee vs athlon 64 FX-53 debate.

Go to www.snapstream.com and download the trial of snapstream beyondtv 3. Use the RFU adapter on your ps2 to connect to the tuner, and connect to your computer. turn to channel 3, and hit record. Congratulations, you are recording live ps2 footage :-D
That tuner won't work. Get the ATI usb 2.0 tv wonder pro

what do I do? RMA it or eat the re stocking fee?
I dont know what your complaining about? Its your responsibility to educate yourself. Not only that but someone told you in the thread u posted that it wouldnt work and ontop of that pepps posted 3-4 links to proper products from ati and haugepage.

You only have yourself to blame, you should eat the restocking fee, its not newegg's fault you dont know what your doing- why should they (likely the best online shopping center for tech) have to eat a fraudulent rma for your mistake. Its crap like that, that drives up prices for the rest of us.

Like I said b4, eat the restocking fee, its not that much, and it will be a rather inexpensive lesson as far as these matters are concerned.
