broken keyboard

Thread Starter
hey I bought my 5660 in 11/02 and it's all I ever wanted. it's a great machine and i love using it. I mostly use it for gaming and my favorite game of all time counter strike. I play this like 24/7 and like most gamers i use the W A S D keys and about a month or two ago my s key broke off. I put it back on but it just wouldn't stay very long and now it won't stay at all. it sure sucks to play counter strike. do i have to send it back for repairs. got a 3 year phillips warrenty. can they send me a new key board. i would hate to send it for repairs because i use it everyday and i can't live without it.

thanks for the help,
Radar

PS: this banana guy is awsome

Ok I don't know alot about the Sager warranties but it looks like your Sager is still under the factory warranty it came with

Personally, I would call Sager and tell them what is going on. I doubt highly that they would have a problem replacing the broken letter since I would not classify that as damage that was caused on purpose or maliciously. These things happen.

Good luck. Keep posting your progress so if that doesn't work we can come up with other options

Also, at the very least, ask if you can do a cross-ship (if you feel you can do the installation - and Sager agrees to it).

They may ask for a credit card (typical for cross-ship stuff), but it's worth asking.

and if worst comes to worse - i have an extra brand new 56XX keyboard sitting here

I mean sager should cover it no problemo, but if for some reason you need it let me know
