this stupid card is unstable while downloading or uploading, i have installed DU meter for troubleshooting, when ever i try to
download a 50MB test file off my home computer (which is connected directly into router via RJ-45), it can never keep a stable connection, it keeps dieing in the middle
of the transfer and then it keeps going back up to 1-2MB/s
the hardware i have is as follows
Linksys WRT54G Router (BG Router)
Asus M6BNe laptop
1.6GHz Dothan (upgraded bios to support cpu)
1GB Ram
40GB Samsung 5400RPM 8MB Cache drive
Intel Pro 2200BG Wifi Card (LATEST DRIVERS FROM INTEL)
Comparison laptop
Dell inspiron 8000
650MHz PIII
256MB Ram
20GB 4200RPM
Cheap Microsoft MN-720 (Drivers that came on CD)
the Asus laptop can EVENTUALLY get the file but ultra slow, the other DELL laptop gets it superquick, DU meter on the dell is a solid 2.6MB/s untill it finishes, both laptop are beside the router <1M away,
ive already tried playing with MTU settings TTL, the dongle/antennas are hooked up GOOD (black wire to MAIN and white wire to AUX)
can anyone help me out?
