Mr. Disturbed......I'd check out a 4G in person before making your final decision. I, for one, am kinda' underwhelmed by the introduction of the new 4G iPod....it seems like most of the updates could have been an included firmware package for the 3G (that's just imo, though). Anyhoo.........keep this in mind.
A 4G WILL NOT include your remote or carrying case.
The screen will be backlit; however, the buttons won't be.
And the biggest change: click-wheel vs. touch buttons...........personally, I would not trade my 3G in for a 4G....I tend to dislike the click-wheel (it's not high-tech enough for my standards)......but all of this is just my opinion....and stuff you need to consider before making your final decision.
You will get approximately 4 more hours of battery life...if that is a concern.
Oh and yeah....I NEVER thought I would hear myself saying this: but my iPod goes EVERYWHERE with me...even if I know I probably won't be using it, I still bring it along just cause it's soooo damn addictive to whip out and start listening to.
And, contrary to popular beliefs....it does pick up the occasional chick
