Good find, but something in me is preventing me from believing we'll see 16 pipeline mobile cards before the end of this year. I mean, there are heat issues even with the Mobility 9600 in some laptops, imagine 4x the pipes of the M10 or M11... that thing is gonna run super hot.
not really...The x800xt is actually a cooler running card than the 9800pro....at least in the desktop world.

Be great to see any of these this year, but delays and waits are the name of the game usually. Of course with ultra popular games like Doom 3 and HL2 do to release, maybe we will.
The M24 or mobile x600 is delayed until at least Q1 2005.

What does the h2 stand for?
half life 2..... the never going to get here until we are old and gray-game.
so... am i going to be able to upgrade my cl56?
highly unlikely
The graphics card in the cl56 is non-upgradable.
this has been posted before at least twice. but i do look forward to new gpus.
if you want to upgrade crayzass1, you could just buy a barebone with the new video card and put the parts in ur current CL56 into your new barebone. Then sell the CL56 barebone. You pretty much end up paying exactly like if you were buying a new video card for a desktop .

exaqctly what i plan to do also, HS will do it for me, give me back chassis (which I can sell) and voila. alto, i doubt i will do it so soon. Not like the M11 wont be able to run HL2/D3... I like preformance, but not overkill...

h2!=half life

i think its more like second half of 2004 =)

plus yuo'd have to wait till avisio with pci express came out. then it'd use ddr2 so you'd have to buy new ram as well =)

I dont think anyone has directly said that the x600 wont be out untill Q1, but its not hard to belive.

Has anyone even heard of anything with an x600 at this point? They may start hitting DTR's around Q1, but im thinking more around Q2 for a x600 and pci-e in a centrino.

Nice find.

We are talking about at least eight pipelines, DDR-II or three with up to 256MB of memory and a 256-bit memory interface.

Due to the size, the modules appear to be limited to desktop replacement notebooks.

This Nvidia chip and notebook based on it will be available later this autumn and it's a PCI Express implementation, but there will also be an AGP version with a bridge chip we are sure.
The article also hints at the ATI M18 we've been talking about:

ATI counter part is codenamed M1x where x part of number is actually more than M11 but less then 20. Do your math.
