Traveling w/ Acer 2012...

Hello, I am going to be going to London on the July 27th and then connect to Lisbon, Portugal. The plane I am going on, a American Airlines 777, has powerports on my seat. I was wondering if I bring a fully charged battery and plug it in if it will maintain a charge? It claims to have 15 Volts of power and I need a DC auto/air power adapter cord. Does anyone know a good one available at Best Buy, Circuit City or CompUSA? Thanks

Oh ya I think the Notebook draws 65 Watts of current..

For the record, Watts measure power, Amperes measure current.

To answer your question, any auto-adapter should work as long as the voltage/intensity/polarity all match up.

I don't mean to be the bringer (sp?) of bad news, but unless you are travelling in business class, you might have a tough time opening the 2012's screen properly.

I found that out the hard way on my first flight with the 2012 in a cramped economy class seat....I ended up keeping the 2012 in my lap....it worked but was a little uncomfortable.

Airplane converter? .... I'm assuming you mean for power. Nope, the airline I flew on did not have power outlets anyway.

The 4+ hour battery life was good enough for me, got a bit of ut2004 gaming done too! (using an mini optical mouse on the palm rest of the laptop and using the W, A, S and D keys on the keyboard.
