Lian Li Cases : What's the Big Deal?

Ok, I've been reading a lot of information over the past few days regarding overclocking, cooling, and case design. However, no one has explained to me the big hooplah over Lian Li cases. Why are they so popular? Anyone have a link to some good information about them and maybe some comparison to other brands?

google it, there are tons of links to reviews of their cases

i know i went through this process when trying to decide on a case for my desktop. i went with cooler master, and i have to say my case is awesome.

I've had cooler master and lian-li (PC-60) and the Lian-Li is a much nicer case (still used, coolermaster went with the computer...).

It's a bit pricey, but they do pay attention to details and are some of the better cases out there. I like them, but only recommend them to people who want to invest that kind of money into a case. The removable filter and multi-speed fan (front) is nice; various models vary (duh) but I'm real happy with the 7 Lian-Li's I've bought over the years - and all are still being used.

To each their own.

myrkat how difficult is it to remove the filter and get the dust out?

does it require removing the screws on the front panel to get the whole front panel off?

lots of case modders like lian li for their simplified design and quality construction.. great aluminum cases dissipate heat nicely.

Lian Li's are great cases, but everyone else is catching up.
I recently got Coolermaster's new Centurion, in my opinion easily the best case on the market.

I've got a Coolermaster Praetorian Case.... I've never been happier with a case before... Super Solid Construction, very well made, looks great! Aluminum, good air flow....

It's all a matter of personal preference and budget.....

my custom built uses the lian-li 65

very nice looking (albeit plain) case

the case is a joy to use with removable motherboard tray and screwdriver-less screws

can't recommend this case too much

Thanks, one on the left (main gaming rig) hasn't been booted in about 4 months, one on the right about 2 weeks, such a waste. Damn notebook....

The filter is simple to remove, you pop off the front plate and pull it off. Run it under water or air (let dry if water - they are washable), then replace. There is also the fan-speed switch next to the fan for Hi-Med-Lo.

This is in the 6+ PC-60 cases, circa 1999/2000 (newer ones may be different). They were $245 each back then, just to give you an idea.
