3809 in 3dmark03

I believe I hold a new record. I got my core to 486 and my memory to 290.25
Only problem is that futuremark says my drivers aren't approved and thus won't publish. I'm using omega catalyst 4.7
Just thought I'd tell you guys. Apparently, the 8050 has very high oc capability.

It wouldn't be the notebook, it's YOUR notebook. Overclocking varies from person to person, hardware to hardware. One card/proc will not OC to what the next will.

With that said, amazing results. I am very impressed with that memory clock. I think you could do over 500 on the core if you kept the memory down myself. Little artifacting won't hurt anything, so push it a bit further =)

Don't forget, OC'ing voids warranties, if your retailer read this, any warranty is now void. So bassically, you could never send that NB in for service/repair under warranty.

Can't now. =)

Those drivers will be approved shortly, i wouldn't worry about it.

why not?

Well did you take a SS?

I took a SS of the 3612. At least I'll be able to prove that. It's still a very high score.

Then you can recover that (assuming you didn't reboot/overwrite it).

I did reboot after getting the the 3809 because I reset my gpus clock to defaults and had to reboot.
DAMN!!! THIS TOTALLY SUCKS!!!

No one has even argued your results......lol

I'm not a liar. I'm amazed myself. I did have a fan blowing right next to me, don't know if that counts for much though.

That's my point, no one has accused you of lieing

I won't overclock to 3809 again; that's when the artifacts started. I'll go to 3753. being that I'm 14 and saved up for an extremly long time to buy this laptop, I simply can't bring myself to risk something happening to the gpu. thanks for the help sucka. I'll wait until the drivers are approved then.

No problem. I've been overclocking my hardware for some time now (PC's mainly) and i've never killed anything (knock on wood). I wouldn't worry to much about a little artifacting, that's not a bad thing per say. Just don't leave it clocked that high and you'll be fine. And technically, your warranty is already gone, so that's now a non-issue.

You could have just uploaded your results on the ORB.

Yeah, I only managed to get to 485/250 before artifacts appeared.

Tourney2112: What score do you get in AquaMark3 then?

I haven't tried aquamark yet. anyway, I don't plan on ocing again until futuremark approves my drivers. Then I'll do 3dmark and aquamark to prove to you guys.
