awesome pictures - checking them out now - I'm still split between the two. Is the CL56 cheap feeling? Is it worth the 64mb vid RAM to get less looks?

Those pics rock ! You are one lucky guy to have both those laptops. Which one is thinner and which is lighter? From the pics, it looks like the M6N is thinner but all the sites I found show the Asus as thicker. Also, which one feels stronger and has less flex? And where did you get each of the laptops?

Asus is HELLA Light comapred to the compal, compal feels as strong as asus but compal is a better shape i guess, and running bench marks and games its the EXACT same speed, it was only a couple 3dmarks off, if the compal had pc2700 ram and a respectable HD (not a to****ba 4200RPM) it will get more than 12000 3dmarks2001

and i don't own either LMAO!, Asus = Girlfriends (her grad Exam present, yes she passed!) Compal = Dads, but i ordered and installed all software haha

im actaully getting an Asus M6Ne since games like the normal 15" screen much better, i got the Asus from a local computer store (still had to special order it though since they only stocked the normal m6bn lappys and normal banias cpus) and the compal is off tigerdirect

What's wrong with Toshiba hard drives?

just got a nice bonsu so i can afford a new laptop.. just waiting and waiting :P :P
i'm sure the component prices for 7k60 and 735 have to come down sometime soon

if the compal had the same components as the asus, damn that a hard decision... but if you get the Asus and you BUILD it yourself, thats what i would do again, when you build it yourself you KNOW what is going into it

im not sure if its toshiba or .. what.. but when i was in college i went thru 8 to****ba harddrives in a period of 1.5 years, the to****ba laptop i had had 1 lcd go, the hindge for the LCD went (lcd couldn't stay up), lcd backlight, cd drive stoped reading DVD's, and it was just plain crap, not just to****ba LAPTOPS but standalone DVD players too!!! i got a DVD player that could do mp3's and 1 month later it died, something wrong with the power supply, since all this crap happened to****ba has now been blacklisted where possible

BTW their new laptops look like ****

the Asus had, laptop itself, both memslots filled, battery (4400mAH), CPU, harddrive, CDRW + DVD Combo, DVD Disc in drive, 2200BG Wireless card, Asus badge w/alumiunm backing (just being accurate )

Total weight was 7.0lbs exacaly, the compal i havn't weighed but is DEFINATLY heavier
