FFXI at 1680x1050 with all options turned on... and no slowdowns. Love it. Beats my previous playing at 800x600 with pretty much no options. I should probably get a shot in-game at this res, looks really nice, if you can stand to have all the controls really small compared to everything else.

Congrats on the system and pictures of the case look great. I don't think I have seen the shot of the case empty before like that. I have been debating on getting one but since I love the backpack, I haven't convinced myself to get it.

Looking forward to your reviews.

So can you fit your powerbrick with the laptop and the case? Any room fore bluetooth mouse + keyboard?

Nice lookin case, it looks like the power brick should fit from the pics of the case when it is open with the 8790 in there - prob be tight though.

Power brick, inverter and strap go in the expandable pocket that's in the top half of the case (in the "Top" pic, it's the bit with all the business card holders, cell phone holder, etc.; you can see the "bumps" at the back coming out of it). It expands to pretty much the exact size necessary to get the brick in there. You could also probably put it on top of the 8790, but I know I'd be scared of it possibly pressing on bad parts of the lid. In the pocket at the back, then it's got at least one layer of cardboard-like protection between it and the laptop -- two if you leave the removable shelf in (the bit with the two pockets). With the shelf out, it all seems to just fit.

I just use the trackpad and the built-in keyboard, so I'm not sure about space for mice and/or keyboards. But unless you had a pretty compact keyboard, I'm not sure that there's be enough room to really put one in (safely). A mouse would be able to fit in the expandable pocket, as well.

Sorry, added the info to the first post. It's the VGA-9385R (5" Designer II Deluxe Graphite).

Love this case. I don't move the laptop all that much, but when I do, I want it to be very protected. Though I never hope to have to test just how much protection it'll give, at least some others have, and have nothing but good things to say.

Tell me Idale, does your Vanguard have a strap ? I could see another vanguard, a silver one, with a shoulder strap does yours have one ?
Also, wher do you put the power brick and you mouse if you use one.

Best Regards

Yes, it comes with a strap, but I care too much about my shoulder to use it. It's a quite heavy combination.

I put the power brick in the expandable pocket that's in the top section of the case. (If you look in the "Top Area" picture, it goes inside that pocket at the back, where the cushion bumps are. That expands to just the right size for the brick's thickness.)
