Also there will be an AGP version of the new line of X series cards for notebooks. Cross your fingers.

That will be awesome if I get to stick a 6800 in my laptop!

I really like the sound of a 41M! Even better would be 16 pipelines.

YEA BABY!

The 6800 being my one upgrade would be awesome. Then I wouldn't give a rat's a$$ about PCI-Express.

Hmm...
That would be a nice Christmas present to myself....

Saw this article awhile ago, and it was a good thing. Can't wait to get a new vid card that can walk with the 9800 XT without problems, thats just something to drool over.

Its gonna be a Geforce Go6800 which won't be the same to the normal, Doom 3-owning 6800.

ooh, the inquirer, now there's a veritable fountain of credibility! oops, nvm, thats the one with an 'e'...lol and i know this is off topic but might sager do something like this (vidcard/mobo upgrade) with some of their current models like 47xx, 5690, 8790, etc.? and those of you with desktops, does anyone know if it is possible to softmod/hardmod the 6800nu to 6800u? kinda like some people messed around with the core chip (knife and conductive paint involved) on sapphire's x800pro and got it to run with 16pipes? i ask this because if it's possible, i'm sure someone will be ballsy enough to try it, right?
Brain, that it should. I know that the mR9700 is about as good as a 9600 Pro, what is the desktop counterpart of the 9600

Derived from the actual 6800 too, instead of just slapping the name on it.

Pardon me but im a bit of an Nvidia fanboy... only got a 9700 because of this forum! :P

lol yeah that's true, i think i'll try to find a decent area-51m2 on ebay throughout the next week or so and probably get that, now that the promise of at least an m18 if not an NV41m is in our midst. so much for the 4750. damn.

Okle,

PM coming back at ya

I'll sell you mine for $4400

I can't believe that tomshardware is basing this guess on a spec sheet from Eurocom. This is the same machine that claims to have 16x PCI-Express on the 875 chipset. (LOL)

If they ever get it together, should be king of the hill for awhile.

Up to 4Gig Dual channel ram, 16x PCI-E, upgradeable graphics, 200G HDD's, etc.

Price tag....merely $8000.00 J/K or maybe not.

ooh that's funny jose, take away $2000 and i might just take a second glance. ebay is so annoying, pity that the deal with a 3.2c, 2gb ram, M11, and 80gb hd is probably a scam.
