Upgrading A Hard Drive On My Laptop

Thread Starter
I have a Toshiba P25 (not posting in the tosh support cause this one should have a bigger base than tosh specific support and its not model specific anyway), i was thinking about upgrading to a 7k60 and i was wondering, how would i transfer my existing data onto the new drive? its not like laptops have multipile eide ports like a desktop where you can use a hard drive utility to copy all the files over to a new drive or anything like that, is there?

1.) Got a desktop? Then copy over data to the desktop... then install new HD.. then copy over to new HD
2.) Get an external enclousre that accepts laptop HDs

3.) Thats all I can think of right now :P

Did my own upgrade not too long ago, it went very smooth. Use the process 8GuaWong describes and you should have no issues. You can get some good external enclousers for laptop HDD's at www.Newegg.com
