Why is this AW so Shiny?

This thing looks SWEET! My silvers are nice. But have no shine, none whatsoever. They feel course to the touch.

Look at this green shine. Is that how all the greens and blues are? If so, I'm looking to buy a green or two. I LIKE IT!

Haven't seen the silver up close but the green and blue have that glossy finish. Only drawback is that it leaves fingerprints behind from curious folks but a good cattle prod or pepper spray should do the trick.

Thats it. Silvers out!>

2x green 15.4" Extremes.... please

Seriously, though. The silver is a dull, matte finish. I have a sneaky idea they came back and sprayed a light color over the silver to darken it up. Which in turn, makes it rough, like overspray. I've seen this done when doing auto upholstery. If the color is a tad off, thats how they can change it, a little.

Thats my guess.

Man, those blues and greens look better and better.

Here is the blue as compared with the silver see how much bigger the blue makes this laptop look!! its amazing what a simple change of color might do.

It's official!

The dude is on a mission to get a green 766. Now my son wants a blue.

I'm about half tempted to pull a silver apart and prep and paint it myself. Let's see,
I spent 6 years in college. 2 for custom painting and 4 for a degree in law.

For what? To paint my AW lappy, silly.

Yes, I had considered painting it the same color as my Red '69 Camaro in the car thread. My sons all, put some white stripes on it Dad! Kids!

I really like how you Photoshopped that 766. Nice job!
