You can't, but you can copyright a phrase.
The funniest of these copyrights stories is when McDonalds went on a bender against supposed infringements of their name. At least until the head of the Clan McDonald stepped up to the bat, asserting his birthright that goes bach at least a thousand years and is protected by Scottish and now English law. Apparently he told them to lay off or he would take them to court and, without a doubt, win in any in the world. I guess then it would be Mc*****ds. I think they'd have to drop the Mickey line too, because of Disney and Ireland.
These buffoons will only learn when they run up agains reality.
McDonalds also forced a change of name for a local Santa Cruz drive-in called McDharmas, that sold veggie burgers.
Will the madness never end? We will never send the suits to the cleaners?
