Has anyone else had problems with USB 2.0 devices with the m6809 and the m6811?
I originally bought a m6805, and purchased an external WD USB 2.0 HD for backups. The HD was recognized by the USB 2.0 drivers supplied with Norton Ghost and the ext HD worked fine.
When I exchanged the m6805 for the m6809, when rebooted to dos for norton ghost backup, the m6809 would not recognize the ext HD as 2.0, but would recognize it as 1.1. I exchanged the WD Ext HD for a ACOM USB 2.0/firewire. This ext HD was recognized, and worked.
I then exchanged the m6809 for a m6811, and the problem reoccurred. The m6811 not recognize the ACOM as a usb 2.0 device with the drivers supplied by norton ghost.
In addition, when booted normally into windows XP home supplied with the laptop, the device manager does not list any of the built in USB controllers as USB 2.0! I bought a Belkin USB 2.0 Hub, and the m6811 only recognizes it as a GENERIC USB hub, and will recognize nothing that is attached to it, USB 2.0 or 1.1.
Any advice? Do I have a bad hardware in my m6811, or is this common?
Restored to the M6811 image on the restore DVD. Same problem exists with the hub. Same readings from SiSandra, also.
